28th Jan Sat

28th Jan Saturday

Breakfast:
x3 Weetbix. Becoming a usual now, when there's enough milk in the fridge. And I'm on a Dairy farm, who would think that?

Farm work, none.

Slept in this morning, then once Robyn and Ben were finsihed with the girls or the herd if you weren't educated. We headed off toward, Wilsons Promontory. But before we got to far, we stopped in Foster. to pick up some supplies. AKA food and drink for lunch :-)

Before we arrived we stopped to look at the map. As Robyn, driving, and Ben tried to figure out where they were going. I jumped out and had a look out towards, Bass Strait, Norman Island, Great Glennie Island, Dannerig Island, Citadel Island, and McHugh Island (-39.01533,146.298888). Once we had found 'the beach', we made our way down to the beach, after it taking a few moments to get a car park. (-39.021789,146.306405)
It was quite busy today, summer yawn! It's obvious here, Squeaky Beach, that you had to drive a long long way away from the city to enjoy somewhere by yourself.
After applying the trusty sunblock, I went for an explore.
(-39.023368,146.300644) Where I found rocky outcrop, around the corner was a small picturesque beautiful bay. With no one on it, prefect! But didn't get to carried away scaling cliffs alone down to the beach. Might save that adventure for when I've got some company, to enjoy it with.

Lunch:
Ham and coleslaw buns :-) classic! and a brownie slice which was massive :-) I quite like Foster cuisine.

Then went for a long swim in the surf. Prob about 2-3.5ft consistent. Max 4. Plenty people out enjoying themselves. Surfing, body surfing, playing around splashing the usual. And a few international worries too. Glad the surf wasn't any bigger, and the rips weren't pulling much. One indian family, gave me a bit of a worry. A young girl not much older than 7, body boarding feeling really safe because she between mum and the shore, who was swimming. But the water line was just below Mum's shoulders. And its pretty obvious she knows nothing about the sea. And swimming in surf, as they were in centre of the mouth of a rip. Which as tells me she hasn't had much swimming experience. I hope they don't cause too many headaches at Victorian patrolled beaches.

As we lift the beach, the day didn't end on a good note. Robyn and I had a good time at the beach swimming etc. But once we decided we would leave Ben had already had enough. Lame! I reckon it was because he hadn't brought his togs down to the beach. But he lift them in the car. Silly mistake, and because the carpark wasn't as close to the beach as they are in New Zealand. He didn't want to walk up to the car and get them. :-( So we drove home and it wasn't a happy trip home. But in respect it could have been worse.

Tea:
We had Mince & Taco's. Was yummy! After being so hot and bothered all day.

We watched Night at the Museum' its quite fun to watch. Good one for the kids.
